 No audio budget should be wasted on outdated recording and editing methods. Avail audio recordings are always captured to digital media. We have chosen Apple computers and SONY Mini Disk (MD) formats for their consistent stability. Editing is performed on ProTools and Cubase systems. Microphones include GrooveTube and Sony products. ADA converters are Focusrite and Lucid. Field recording done on Sony MD, MBox, and/or Digital Tape.
Analog too: Avail has an Ampex 440B Reel-to-Reel and Denon Cassette Decks for clients with audio preservation projects.
